Free Aquarium Help
Sometimes you don’t need to pay someone to visit your aquarium.
Send a clear full-tank photo or short video, along with the aquarium size, livestock, what has happened and any test results you have.
Where the problem can reasonably be understood remotely, The Aquatic Standard will provide a brief practical next step free of charge.
You do not need to own a test kit to ask for help. If more information is needed, I’ll tell you what would actually help rather than guessing.
Aquarium Diagnostics
When an aquarium keeps struggling, treating the visible symptom does not always solve the underlying problem.
The Aquatic Standard looks at the aquarium as a complete system — including water quality, livestock, stocking, filtration, equipment, feeding, maintenance and recent changes — to identify likely causes and separate them from what remains uncertain.
Aquarium Problem Assessment & Stabilisation — £149
For problems that need direct onsite assessment, the £149 service includes up to 60 minutes onsite within the standard service area, relevant testing, whole-system assessment, proportionate immediate stabilisation where practical, and a written recovery plan.
Additional onsite time is £35 per approved 30 minutes where continuing has clear value.
Larger restoration work, equipment changes, deep cleaning, rescaping or return visits are quoted separately.
The Aquatic Standard Approach
Observe. Test. Act with Purpose.
The Aquatic Standard looks at the aquarium as a complete system, separating what can be observed or measured from likely causes and remaining uncertainty.
Testing is used where it adds useful evidence. Recommendations then focus on the changes most likely to improve the aquarium, with the consequences, options and trade-offs explained clearly.
